Lost Valley Lake Resort is seeking enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our team as Reservationists. If you have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply!
Prior experience is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. As a Reservationist, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and welcoming impression. You’ll handle phone calls, manage reservations, and greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable start to their stay.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome arriving guests with a positive attitude, smile, and professional appearance.
- Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Provide outstanding customer service, both on the phone and in person, addressing guest inquiries and concerns with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Handle guest issues with empathy and resolve them effectively.
- Process reservations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Follow established procedures for handling cash, credit card transactions, and refunds.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of resort amenities and services to assist guests effectively.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless guest experiences. * Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general upkeep and repairs throughout the resort. This role supports buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs resort-wide
- Complete basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager
- Maintain resort buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds
- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance programs
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failure and safety risks
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all federal and state safety regulations
- Adhere to established safety guidelines for the use and storage of tools, equipment, and chemicals
- Use safe work practices to prevent accidents involving guests or team members
- Immediately report any damage, hazards, or safety concerns to management
Tools, Equipment & Vehicles
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Operate resort vehicles and equipment as needed
- Tow, park, and maneuver recreational vehicles in tight spaces with attention to detail
- Operate commercial vehicles (experience preferred)
Guest & Team Interaction
- Provide excellent, friendly guest service
- Be attentive, responsive, and helpful to guests and fellow team members
- Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and coworkers
Additional Duties

This is a structured, full-time role responsible for maintaining safety, enforcing resort policies, and ensuring consistent coverage of resort operations.
We are looking for individuals who value stability, accountability, and professional conduct — and who take pride in doing the job the right way every shift.
This position is best suited for someone seeking steady, long-term employment in a disciplined environment.

This position follows a consistent, fixed 2-week overnight rotation. Example:

This established rotation remains consistent once assigned and is essential to maintaining full coverage of the resort.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
– Conduct scheduled patrols of resort property and facilities
– Monitor buildings and grounds for safety and policy compliance
– Enforce resort policies in a firm, fair, and professional manner
– Respond appropriately to disturbances, complaints, and emergencies
– Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports
– Monitor access points and verify identification when required
– Maintain a visible, consistent security presence overnight
Guards work independently and are expected to exercise sound judgment without direct supervision.

During snow and ice conditions, on-site housing is available to security staff to ensure safe reporting and uninterrupted overnight coverage. (Inclement weather only, not a residence)

- Perform routine maintenance on groundskeeping equipment
- Daily lawn care to include mowing, trimming, edging, raking and blowing leaves
- Perform regular weeding & watering
- Limb, brush and debris removal
- Lawn maintenance to include lawn, shrubbery, flower pots
- Perform landscaping duties as directed to include planting, watering, weeding
- Perform snow removal with shovel and other equipment, as needed
- Regular custodial work such as debris on walkways, trash removal and disposing of it in the proper containers
Qualifications for Groundskeeper
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Valid Driver’s License is required with satisfactory driving record
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on groundskeeping equipment
- Prior experience in lawn care or snow removal helpful but not required
- Available to work a variety of shift times including nights, weekends and holidays
- Able to operate a variety of equipment and tools such as; mowers, weed eaters, chainsaw, tractor
- Able to lift 30-40 pounds
- Enjoy working outdoors in a variety of temperatures

- Operations: Managing budgets, scheduling, customer relations, rider safety and facility, trail and grounds upkeep.
- Training/Scheduling: May devise training plans and manage veterinary/farrier appointments, Stable Hands scheduling
Required Skills:
- Extensive horse knowledge (nutrition, health, behavior, riding, grooming & tack).
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to details.
- Basic knowledge of office equipment and use of computer
- Dedication, as it’s often demanding, occasionally overtime/after hours
Required Availability:
- Must be available to work Peak Season Holidays and Weekends.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in every weather extreme.
Required Physicality:
- Must be able to lift and carry things like square hay bales, feed buckets, feed bags (75 pounds) etc.
Other:
- Must have valid MO Drivers License and be able to pull a horse trailer.
- Familiarity with equipment such as tractors, bale spike, pull hayrides, lawn mowers, weed eaters, and chain saws is a plus.
